Why Selig
A word that means happy
“Selig is German. It means blissful, blessed, deeply happy. That's the feeling I want you to have in every piece.”
I started Selig to make clothes that fit you properly and make you smile when you put them on. Everything is designed by me and handmade in Nairobi by tailors I trust. Our prints are Selig originals. Nothing is mass-produced.
How I work
Made for you, not for a rail
Choose a design or dream up a bespoke one. Send me your measurements, pick a fabric from my library or let me choose for you, and I'll send you a quote. Once the deposit is in, I start. Your piece is cut for your body, and it arrives with a tag that says who it was made for.
Clients in Kenya can collect in Nairobi or have it delivered. Everyone else, I ship to you.
Good to know
The practical bits
- Paying
- Made-to-measure and bespoke: a 60% deposit to start, the balance before delivery. Ready-made pieces are paid in full. M-Pesa and cards, in KES or USD.
- Deposits
- Deposits are non-refundable, because your fabric is bought and cut for you. I'll always say this clearly before you pay.
- Fabric
- I supply all fabric, so I can promise the quality. Browse my library or tell me the colours and mood you love.
- Delivery
- Collect in Nairobi, local delivery in Kenya, or shipping worldwide. Shipping is shown as its own line on your quote.
